Have you always wanted to take part in a hackathon but thought you’re not techie enough? Or maybe you’re always swamped with work, and you don’t have enough time to participate in an event like this. If these questions hit home, .txtlss can be a turning point.

.txtlss is a virtual hackathon organized by LiveChat Platform, and it runs until October 25. Even though it started three weeks ago, you can still join and make the most of the remaining week. The theme of the event is textless communication. The goal is to find better ways of communicating emotions through text and other communication channels. Participants can also come up with ideas on how to communicate without using text at all.

LiveChat Platform invites participants of all professions and industries. You don’t have to be a software developer or know how to code. If you’re a marketer or customer service agent, you’re more than welcome to join, regardless of your industry, too. Join individually or as a part of a team of up to five people. LiveChat Platform gives you the building blocks, libraries, data, and other resources so that you can focus entirely on bringing your innovative idea to life.

“Our mission, as a company, is to help people and businesses communicate better. During this hackathon, we aim to engage a diverse group of future technology leaders to help us remove communication barriers between customers and businesses. With so many innovative solutions that we can create together, we believe that we can make online communication as efficient as face-to-face meetings,” says Filip Jaskólski, Platform Manager at LiveChat Software.

Join the Facebook page for the event and a dedicated Slack community to stay in the loop. These are the places you can talk to other participants, the LiveChat crew, and other special guests.

Post your submission packages until October 25 via the Developer Console. They should include a 4-minute explanatory presentation uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and a full description of the app, concept, and the team behind it. The jury will consider the following criteria when determining a winner:

LiveChat wants to change the way people think about text messaging and shape the future of how people communicate with businesses online. Join now, make new friends, and have fun while also competing for up to $20,000 in cash.
