When I really have to focus on a difficult case or task, I like to listen to the noises of a forest, wind, rain, fireplace, etc. Some researchers say that listening to such sounds while working boosts concentration and productivity.
If I’m responding to email or reading I’m listening to instrumental playlists on spotify [ Instrumental Metal \m/, Instrumental Hip-Hip | Chill hip hop |Jazzy & Instrumental music for coding programming studying ]
If I’m working on artwork it’s anything from Propagandhi, Pusha-T to Joni Mitchell etc.
I like listening to foreign music, as in, music that is in a language I don’t understand. I particularly like French music. French electronic pop is really great and it’s not distracting as I don’t understand the lyrics!
Usually something rhythmic, so a lot of 1970s/80s Funk, so Bootsy Collins or Rick James. Or if things are calm, I’ll listen to podcasts. The Babysitter’s Club Club and Sardonicast are my favorites there.
