Best task management apps

Hello,

Do you practice home office in your companies? If yes, what apps do you use to manage scheduling work (posting tasks that need to get done, managing projects, updating)?

In LiveChat, we use Trello and Jira. Do you recommend any other tools worth using?

Slack. It allows me to connect with my employees, my boss, my business partners, my content writer easily and quickly in one place.

We also use Trello with our marketing company and it works great since we are always sharing content for editing back and forth and it allows us to put everyone on task and a timeline.

Trello for shared task management

Slack + Trello it’s powerful combo however, I would like to introduce you Zenkit  It’s pretty new player in the market, but it already had stolen my heart  It’s more like Trello (so it’s designed for project/task management), but it’s much more advanced (and more intuitive IMHO). My fav feature there is possibility to convert your workspace to different types (Kanban like in trello, simple list, detailed table which you can export to Excell and my personal choice - mindmap).

Nice, I’ll test if Zenkit could steal my heart too.

We use Wrike for project/task management and Airtable for tracking other project details and scoping.

I’d say that the best program to use is very much dependent on what your projects/task etc look like and what your organizational structure is. It took us a while to come up with a mix of software that best meets our current needs.

Podio is also a nice tool.
You can create your own apps, set them the way you want without any coding experience.
You can also have a workspace within the team, that has smaller or different team members and no other member can have access to that area.
It is a bit hard to get used to, but once you do, it is a very powerful tool, including automation tasks, third party integrations and task management for every category you may need.
You can create your own dashboard that shows activity, calendar, todo list, pending tasks, due date tasks etc.
Also, each member can set a different viewing layout (Badge, Table, Card, Activity, Calendar) so it is very user friendly and productive.

Here at Tiny Fish, we are playing around with Asana

We are using Asana for project management and a directory to help people navigate all of the folders in our Google team drive.

We’ve played around with a few of the others but Asana seems to fits our needs best.

Hello Daria,

We’ve been using Asana for a couple of months. Now, the mentor of our group suggests Monday.com for the team activities as well. Has anyone tried it? Is it more convenient than Asana?

Sincerely,
Renee

We use JIRA for technical issues, Basecamp for site-wide marketing efforts, Slack for inter-personal and team communication, and Time Doctor to…watch us.

Currently we are using Slack and Dropbox Papers (I also use Papers for my own purposes). Shared documents and tables are useful too. We’ve tried to use a lot of apps with good app reviews, such as ActiveCollab, and so on. But seems like Slack and Dropbox papers is the best option.

Try Boombirds! Really one heck of a SaaS product. It ensures business process adherence, by organising tasks into logical, actionable, procedural-based workflows and comes with optional field and fleet tracking. You can improve your productivity by managing your business process efficiently across your office & field staff.
Most importantly, you need not pay a penny for the trial and also do not need a credit card. One of the pretty rare and cool feauture in 2019 I guess.

We use Trello with our marketing company and it works great since we are always sharing content for editing back and forth and it allows us to put everyone on task and a timeline.
