Increased safety with two LiveChat Data Centers in Europe


We use top-quality data centers and diverse geolocalization to keep your data safe. We are ready to host your data in one of our data centers located in Europe (in Frankfurt, Germany) or the U.S. (Dallas). It’s your choice.

We have also established an additional backup server in Europe (in Amsterdam, Netherlands), which helped us double the level of protection required by GDPR and our storage capacity.

Transparency about how we handle your Service Data


Once you decide to store data in the European Union (servers in Frankfurt), data related to chat content will be placed there. LiveChat is compliant with EU data protection requirements


We do not sell or lease your data to any third party. We will never share, sell, rent, or trade your registration and personal information with any marketing or promotional partners without your consent. For more information related to GDPR, you can find it here.

We use your data to operate, maintain, and improve our services, respond to customer inquiries, and send communications related to the services we offer. Our Privacy Policy can help you understand, in detail, what information we store and how we handle it.

Secure data transfer outside the EU


Our commitment to store your data in a given region includes exceptions. Your data may be hosted outside of the chosen area to the extent described in our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy in countries and territories outside of the EU chosen location as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, or improve the services to you.

We secure any transfer of personal data outside of the chosen EU region to us or our sub-processors by using GDPR-compliant standards. This includes Standard Contractual Clauses, which provide an adequate data protection level.

We make sure that data is disclosed only to sub-processors when it is necessary to provide the services or as required to respond to lawful requests from public authorities. You can check a list of all the sub-processors we cooperate with here.
