our employees open the homepage to our website which activates the IP address to show up in list of customers. Is there away to turn off the chat feature for internal employees IP address?
Could you tell me please, why it is a problem for you?
The only way to do what you ask for is to ban the IP address.
If you really need to do this, please go to Settings > Security > Banned visitor and ban your IP.

Just remember that only Admins and the Owner have access to this section.
