A sales tax is paid to a governing body for certain goods and services. Usually, laws allow the seller to collect funds for the tax from the consumer at the point of purchase.

The tax is determined by your company address, the zip/postal code. It is automatically calculated and added to your subscription.

Currently, LiveChat collects the tax only for the state of Massachusetts. We will update the list of applicable states accordingly.

Some companies may be exempt from sales tax, for example charitable, religious, or educational organizations. If your company would like to apply for sales tax exemption, please send your completed exemption form to support@livechat.com.
