Remote Full-time
At Text, we're building a new category around customer communication, powered by real-time data.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Lifecycle Growth team - someone who gets more excited by business outcomes than pixel-perfect screens, and who wants to design where every experiment, banner, and flow is tied to a real revenue or activation metric.
This is initially a maternity cover (~12 months) with a strong path to a permanent role for the right person — in an organization our size, we always find a place for great specialists.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to be handed perfectly-scoped tickets. We work like adults running our own startup inside Text: high autonomy, weekly cadence, async-first, and zero hand-holding.
Lifecycle Growth Team sits inside the broader Activation org and works across two connected areas: lifecycle (customer communication around product updates, churn prevention, win-backs) and R&D and experimentation (SEO and PAYDA tests, activation banners and nudges, reshaping core product surfaces). We share KPIs with Product Activation: Trial > QL > Subscriber.
You'll work most closely with your own team day-to-day, but because Activation touches every product team, you'll collaborate broadly across product and design.
Taking end-to-end ownership of design work - from business discovery and problem definition, through design, testing, and shipping.
Designing for business outcomes: activation, conversion, retention. You'll define what success looks like in numbers.
Running live experiments - activation banners, in-product nudges, A/B tests, and lifecycle communications that move Trial > QL > Subscriber.
Collaborating with designers across Activation and other product teams, contributing to design critique and shared thinking.
Occasional experiments that go beyond Activation - and affect acquisition, retention and monetization
Writing copy - at Text, designers write the first version of product copy.
Working AI-natively - using tools like Cursor to build interactive mockups and accelerate your work.
We hire for mindset over years on a CV. If you have fewer years of experience and the bullets below describe you, we want to talk. If you have 10 years and you don't recognize yourself here, this won't be a fit.
You take ownership. Every designer at Text is expected to act like the design lead for everything they ship.
You think business-first. You can read a metric, understand why it matters, and design toward moving it.
You move fast. You'd rather ship a rough test this week and learn than ship a polished screen next quarter and hope.
You're comfortable with ambiguity. Our team is post-reorg, our product is newer than LiveChat with smaller data volumes, and our roadmap shifts.
You're AI-native or eager to be. You use AI tools as a multiplier, not a curiosity.
You communicate clearly and directly. You give and receive feedback without ego.
Deal-breaker: if you optimize for how something looks more than how it works — this isn't your team. We're building a product that makes people more productive.
A portfolio that shows business thinking — why something was built, what changed because of it, and how you made the trade-offs.
Comfort with the full design process: discovery, prototyping, shipping, and measuring impact.
Mastery of Figma; familiarity with experimentation tools and product analytics.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design or prototyping tools (Claude Code/ Codex /Flow/Claude Design) — or a clear willingness to adopt them fast.
Experience working on a product (vs. agency or marketing-only).
Background in SaaS, B2B, or product-led growth.
Experience writing product copy.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design or prototyping tools (Cursor, v0, etc.).
Real ownership from day one. You won't be waiting for permission.
A team of people who care. Strong characters, high standards, low ego.
Direct line to leadership. No layers of middle management between your ideas and decisions.
Cross-product exposure. Because Activation works with every product team, you'll see more of how Text actually works in 12 months than most designers see in 3 years.
A path to permanent. This role starts as maternity cover, but for the right person, we'll make space.
Ability to deliver incredible impact. Our tools serve more than 1 billion customers a month, across 150+ countries
