Privacy Notice for recruitment purposes

1. Introduction

Please read the following Privacy Notice herein carefully as it describes how we collect and handle any information gathered from you in connection with the recruitment process or events organized by us, LiveChat Software S.A with its principal office address at Zwycięska 47, 53-033 Wrocław, Poland. By taking part in this process you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice and you consent to the collection, use, storage, processing, and disclosure of your information, including Personal Data (as defined under the applicable law) in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

2. Scope

Whenever you apply for a job offer posted by us, participate in our recruiting programs and recruitment events, or want to stay tuned with a future email communication about our recruitment activities or subscribe to our recruitment newsletter (“Recruitment Event”), this Privacy Notice concern you and you are bound by its provisions.

3. What information we collect

We collect and process data, that you may provide to us, including your personal data, when we act as the Data Controller (in the meaning of the GDPR), through the online application process, recruitment systems, professional recruiting firms, or alternative channels. For example your name, surname, date, and place of birth; contact information such as your address, email address, and telephone number, CV or resume which may include past employment history (previous employers, job title, contact information for references), your qualifications, education history, other information disclosed by you throughout the recruiting process, such as contact information of references, compensation history. We may also process your other data for the Recruitment Event if you want to provide it to us voluntarily. We do not intend to collect your ‘sensitive’ data (in the meaning of the GDPR). Revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic data, biometric data processed solely to identify a human being, health-related data, data concerning your sex life or sexual orientation are never collected by us during the Recruitment Event.

4. Purposes for which we collect and process your data

Any Recruitment Event is based on data, your data because we’d like to get to know you, your professional experience, and qualifications. We use this information and any other provided by you to us in the following ways:

  • to find a good match for a particular role,
  • to consider your application in respect of a role for which you have applied,
  • to consider your application in respect of other roles,
  • to communicate with you in respect of the recruitment process,
  • to enhance any information that we receive from you with information obtained from third-party data providers,
  • to help us and our third-party service providers (such as Lever or partners from which you may have applied) make improvements.

5. How long will we keep your data?

We will process your data only for the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice no longer than for a maximum period of 10 years from the date of submitting your application for a job offer or the end of the recruitment process or until you unsubscribe from our recruitment newsletter.

6. Disclosure and transfer of your data to third parties

Recruitment is a very important opportunity for us to get to know you. For this purpose, we use not only our own resources but also the services of external service providers that technically or organizationally help us in the Recruitment Event. We may transfer your data, including Personal Data to them to provide an appropriate software system for recruiting or identifying and recruiting talent, administering and evaluating people before employment, and improving our recruitment practices.

7. Security

We take appropriate measures to ensure that all data is kept secure including security measures to prevent Personal Data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through any online means, therefore any transmission remains at your own risk. We limit access to your data to those who have a genuine business need to know it in an authorized manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We guarantee that we take reasonable and sufficient technical and operational measures to protect your data we collect and hold them from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
