Duration to handle errors

Please tell me a duration time to handle below errors-

  1. Duration in case of rateLimitExceeded while obtaining a new access_token by refresh token.
  2. Duration in case of too_many_requests error(Response Status Code- 429).
  3. Duration in case server down errors like server_error or temporarily_unavailable .

Regarding what you have asked:

a) Duration in case of rateLimitExceeded while obtaining a new access_token by refresh token.

  • We don’t have this documented - can he share an exact error message that he got?

b) Duration in case of too_many_requests error(Response Status Code- 429)

  • Depends on the endpoint - every endpoint has a different limit, and we usually do not share details. Limits can be adjusted in specific scenarios. For example, if we have a problem with API or if one of the clients reports us that he anticipates higher traffic than usual.

c) Duration in case server down errors like server_error or temporarily_unavailable.

  • That is something that we can not anticipate if we have some kind of issues status page is the place when they can learn about what’s wrong and ETA.
