Chrome warning: A cookie associated with a cross-site resource

We are seeing this warning from Chrome. Is this something we can address on our account or is it something LiveChat needs to address globally?

A cookie associated with a cross-site resource at http://livechatinc.com/ was set without the SameSite attribute. A future release of Chrome will only deliver cookies with cross-site requests if they are set with SameSite=None and Secure. You can review cookies in developer tools under Application>Storage>Cookies and see more details at https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5088147346030592 and https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5633521622188032.

Thank you

Hello @strefz,

It’s a common warning, feel free to ignore it.
Our developers are already aware of it and relevant changes will be implemented before the release date of the next Chrome version.

Thanks for the feedback. Love your product!

Hi @Lukasz_W have the relevant changes been implemented yet? Chrome 80 releases next week.

Is there a better place to find updates on this subject from LiveChat?

Hi!

Yes, changes have been implemented already. If you clear cookies in your browser you should no longer see the warning in the console.

I’m still having this issue:

Hi! Could you please lear the cookies and enter the website only, without going to my.livechatinc.com and check it again?

This should be fixed already for visitors, but there may still be some problematic cookies in our Agent Application that will need adjustment.

What’s more, this message even when it appears, does not affect anything yet - it’s a warning about a future policy that will be implemented by Chrome, they postponed the release to something like December 2020.
